THE SHOPPING CENTRE
The Ascot and Clayfield area now has a full-line supermarket-based convenience centre due to open on Nudgee Rd, Ascot on 1 August 2018.
Racecourse Village Shopping Centre is conveniently located at 188 Nudgee Road in Ascot opposite Doomben Racecourse. Significant road works have been completed along Nudgee Rd, with Nudgee Rd being widened and the inclusion of new traffic lights providing all-ways access for shopping centre patrons and the new Eagle Farm carpark.
The Centre will accommodate the latest designed, full-line Woolworths supermarket along with 18 specialty shops including a pharmacy, service tenants, and restaurants with al fresco dining areas.
The shopping component of the Centre is all on one level with covered carparking, providing easy on-grade access. First floor commercial and medical offices are accessed via two lobbies each with stairs and lift .
Racecourse Village is owned by the Brisbane Racing Club and will provide a much needed convenience shopping centre in the area.
The LOCAL AREA
An Ascot address is one of the most sought after addresses in Queensland.
The 153 year old Brisbane Racing Club and its affIliates have a strong presence in the local community. Strategically located between the Brisbane Airport and the CBD, Brisbane Racing Club is undertaking a $1.2bn redevelopment of its land around the Eagle Farm and Doomben Racecourses. Essential to the masterplan is continued and enhanced racing at both Eagle Farm and Doomben Racecourses.
Racecourse Village Shopping Centre will form a key long term holding for the Brisbane Racing Club as do other vital elements of the Masterplan including Ascot Green, a prestigious residential development undertaken by Mirvac. Stage one being Ascot House, comprises 90 apartments and opened 6 July 2018.
The Ascot Childcare and Kindy opened 1 March 2017, and is located on Lancaster Road.
A retirement and Aged Care facility is planned to be constructed by Lend Lease as well as a new Sports Club and Hotel. All are additional important elements of the local area masterplan.
